Comprehensive College Counseling Package for Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors

  1. College search and selection

    • Assist student in identifying colleges that fit their academic and personal goals.

    • Evaluate the student’s record, including high school transcript, standardized test results, extracurricular activities, athletic activities and special talents.

    • Clarify student’s priorities and requirements for their college experience, understand the selection criteria of specific colleges or universities, and research and select appropriate schools to generate a long list of good match schools.

    • Discuss and evaluate early decision, early action and other decision options.

    • Assist with the preparation of activity list and/or resume.

    • Assist with selection of recommendation letter writers.

  2. Student profile development: Assist in selection of high school academic curricular choices and plan extracurricular activities, including meaningful summer activities.

  3. College application guidance: Help student with the college application process, including reviewing essays, testing schedules and more.

  4. Scholarship search and application support: Help student identify and apply for suitable outside scholarships as well as scholarships at the colleges to which they apply.

  5. Financial aid and funding support: Assist family in understanding the financial aid process and maximizing their eligibility for aid.

  6. College admission test preparation: Provide guidance and resources to help student prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, including recommending tutors if necessary.

  7. College essay coaching: Provide grammatical, clarity and structural editing as well as idea generation guidance for student in writing their main and supplemental college essays.
